Most location tracking systems rely on inaccurate GPS and geofences. These are unsuitable for a few reasons - for example, they are often inaccurate by several meters. They can also rely on mobile phone permissions being switched on. The Sense Gateway removes the need for mobile phones, and uses advanced UWB technology to provide precise location data down to the exact room - and, depending on the level of accuracy you require, you can even configure Sense Gateways to tell you exactly where a person is standing. This helps you to manage busy shifts better, find and send help faster, manage access control more tightly, and connect, protect and engage your entire workforce with ease.
Yes. While we don’t rely on GPS for indoor location intelligence, our Sense Badges and Sense Mobile app both utilise GPS for outdoor tracking, for example to see if somebody has arrived safely at their destination, or if they have left a client visit at the time they were meant to - vital for the safety and security of those working in the community with vulnerable or dangerous people.
To put it simply, we use precise UWB triangulation to calculate a person’s exact location, by bouncing data between several points, made up of static Sense Gateways and moving Sense Badges. However, depending on the level of accuracy you require, you can even get excellent indoor location results with a single Sense Gateway with no need for any Sense Badges.
Yes. Our asset tags can be fixed to expensive or in-demand equipment, to show where it was last seen. This is particularly helpful in workspaces such as hospitals, where finding an important piece of equipment can be a matter of life or death.
